At Sublimis Boutique Hotel, we are committed to ensuring more sustainable management of our business by monitoring consumption, implementing energy efficiency measures, and reducing our environmental impact through virtuous behavior. We have adopted the criteria set by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) and verified by the certification body Vireo, obtaining the relevant certificate in 2024.

Traveling is one of the most enriching experiences we can have, but with the freedom to discover new places comes the responsibility to respect them. As a responsible tourist, you have the power to make a difference by protecting natural resources, supporting local economies, and promoting a culture of mutual respect and exchange.

Energy

We adopt efficiency and home automation solutions to ensure lower energy consumption: purchasing 100% renewable energy, using thermostatic valves for hot water production, installing LED lighting systems, automatically shutting off power to the room when the guest is absent, and optimizing the use of cascading energy sources during the production cycle.

Biodiversity

Sublimis Boutique Hotel is located near the Portofino Natural Park, a protected area home to one of the largest concentrations of flora in the Mediterranean, a remarkable variety of birds and invertebrates, as well as important historical and architectural sites. Examples of this vegetation can be found in the hotel's green areas, where aromatic plants typical of Liguria have been cultivated.

Plastic

We have a plastic reduction policy in which we select materials with lower impact with our suppliers, we favor recycled plastic products, we choose reusable packaging and we prefer the use of dispensers for hygiene products, we have replaced most of the plastic amenities with FSC paper or cardboard packaging, we promote the sale of water and drinks only in glass containers and we have reduced single-use by adopting aluminum packaging.

Recycling

We monitor waste production and adopt measures to reduce it. We encourage the reduction of plastic and non-recyclable materials by seeking out suppliers with lower environmental impact. Special recycling bins have been set up in various common areas of the facility to educate guests on the proper disposal of waste.

Water consumption

To ensure water savings, we have installed flow reducers in all our faucets. We offer reuse systems, encouraging our guests to only put away towels that need replacing to reduce the environmental impact of linen use.

Accessibility

The architectural condition of the building and the surrounding context have not allowed us to further adapt our facility to the needs of people with mobility disabilities. For further information and any other needs, please contact us.

Education and culture

Sublimis Boutique Hotel collaborates with local cultural institutions and emerging artistic/cultural initiatives to promote local culture, such as the Convention Bureau, the Hoteliers' Association, etc. It also collaborates with professional schools to integrate young people into the hospitality sector.

Architecture

Sublimis Boutique Hotel is located inside a typical Ligurian villa that has been renovated respecting the characteristics of the local architecture and the historical elements present in the space.

Food and drink

The restaurant's cuisine embraces nature, local produce, and artisanal materials, aiming to support the preservation of biodiversity and the preservation of Italian gastronomy, showcasing the raw materials of Camogli and the surrounding area. We have adopted a food waste prevention policy, offering an à la carte breakfast menu to avoid food overproduction.

Local economy

The hotel prioritizes sourcing local ingredients and products, aiming to recognize the work of small local producers. It aims to further highlight craftsmanship through its selection of handmade tableware, made by Cham Ceramica of Camogli, using the finest stoneware and natural elements, in this case, Camogli clay for the glaze.

Community support

We support Music for Peace, a recognized non-governmental organization that provides support in the following areas: local assistance with food, school supplies, and basic necessities; healthcare with a clinic and dispensary; educational projects with schools; and cultural and entertainment initiatives accessible to all.
