At Sublimis Boutique Hotel we are committed to ensuring a more sustainable management of our business by monitoring consumption, implementing energy efficiency actions and reducing its environmental impact thanks to virtuous behaviors:
Water consumption
To ensure water saving, we have installed flow reducers in all our taps. We offer reuse systems by inviting our guests to put away only the towels that need replacing to reduce the impact of linen use.
Energy
We adopt efficiency and home automation solutions to ensure lower energy consumption: purchase of 100 per cent renewable energy, use of thermostatic valves for hot water production, installation of LED lighting systems, automatic room power cut-off when the guest is absent, and optimisation of the use of cascade energy sources during the production cycle.
Waste
We monitor waste production and adopt behaviours to reduce the amount of waste. We encourage the reduction of plastic and non-recyclable materials by selecting suppliers that offer products with less impact. In several common areas of the facility, special containers for separate waste collection have been set up to raise awareness of the correct way to sort waste.
Plastic
We have a plastic reduction policy in which we select materials with less impact, we favour products made of recycled plastic, we choose reusable packaging and favour the use of dispensers for hygiene products, we have replaced most plastic amenities with FSC paper or cardboard packaging, we promote the sale of water and beverages only in glass packaging, and we have reduced single-use by adopting aluminium packaging.
Biodiversity
Sublimis Boutique Hotel is located close to the Portofino Natural Park, a protected area that is home to one of the largest concentrations of flora in the Mediterranean, a remarkable variety of birds and invertebrates, as well as important historical and architectural testimonies. Some examples of this vegetation can be found in the hotel's green areas: the typical Ligurian aromatic plants and the characteristic maritime pine of the Mediterranean coasts.
Architecture
Sublimis Boutique Hotel is located in a typical Ligurian villa that has been renovated respecting the characteristics of the local architecture and the historical elements that persist in the space.
Food and beverage
The restaurant's cuisine approaches nature, local products and artisanal materials intending to support the preservation of biodiversity and the conservation of Italian gastronomy, enhancing the raw materials of Camogli and its surroundings. We have adopted an anti-waste food policy with an à la carte breakfast menu to avoid overproduction of food.
Education and culture
Sublimis Boutique Hotel collaborates with local, cultural and artistic institutions to promote the area's culture, for example, the Convention Bureau, Hotelier Association, etc. It also collaborates with professional schools to introduce young people to the hospitality sector.
Local economy
Ladidà Sur La Mer, the hotel's in-house restaurant, favours the sourcing of local ingredients/products to give recognition to the work of small local producers. It wants to provide further visibility to craftsmanship through the selection of its ceramic plates. The restaurant uses crockery handmade by Cham Ceramica, that uses the best stoneware and natural elements, in this case, from the ground of Camogli for the glaze.
Accessibility
